Suomen Messulogistiikka Oy

The roots of Suomen Messulogistiikka Oy lie in the co-operation in exhibition forwarding between John Nurminen Oy and Suomen Messut Osuuskunta that started in the 1920's. Since then, our comprehensive services in exhibition forwarding both in Finland and abroad have been the backbone of our operations. Through all the drastic changes in the operation environment – tumults of war, economic crisis – our promise of service has remained the same to this day: ”ﾄlä wälit ann Nurmise wälittä” (Don't you care, let Nurminen care for you). Alongside developments in the forwarding and transportation industry, the role of the forwarding business has grown, but still our basic mission and uncompromising attitude toward service have remained.

In 1990 the exhibition forwarding department of John Nurminen was transferred under Nurminen Prima Oy. In 2003 Nurminen Prima Oy and the other subsidiaries of John Nurminen were merged with the mother company.

Forwarding and caring

Suomen Messulogistiikka Oy is a forwarding company and our basic mission is to ensure that our customers' goods are in the right place at the right time. In May 2004 the exhibition logistics business of John Nurminen Oy became an independent unit: Suomen Messulogistiikka Oy. We continue the long and successful tradition with our ”feel the service” motto.

Staying up-to-date and meeting the changing needs of our customers is one of our driving forces. In 2002 John Nurminen reacted to the developments in the transportation and forwarding business by dividing the services of exhibition logistics into two basic concepts:

1. export exhibition logistics
2. domestic exhibition logistics (Messulogistiikka)

We can proudly state that the exhibition logistics service model we have developed during the years is widely known and respected in our sector. International co-operation aiming to develop exhibition logistics is a key part of the operation of Suomen Messulogistiikka. We are the only Finnish member company of the International Exhibition Logistics Association (IELA). We actively participate in developing the education offered by IELA to its members. Our Managing Director Erkki Koski is a member of the IELA Training Working Group.
